COERR Mae Hong Son supported the Refugee Livelihood Fair to celebrate the World Refugee Day. The aim is to present Refugee Livelihood Products for Self-Reliance, to be known to public as well as to convince refugees of their capability to upgrade themselves for current and future development. Moreover, they can generate income from their agricultural produces, handicrafts, food shop, shirt screening and recycling shop. The events were organized in 3 occasions: June 20th, 23rd and 28th, 2017.
On June 20th, the World Refugee Day event was held at Mae Hong Son ICT Development and Learning Center. The opening ceremony was presided over by Vice Governor Permsak Chaweerak. COERR and refugees in COERR Livelihood Program brought their products which drew attention of approximately 300 participants from government and private sectors, and mass media.

On June 23, 2017, the World Refugee Day and Refugee Livelihood Fair was held in Ban Mai Nai Soi refugee camp. The event was participated by approximately 2,500 people consisting of Government and Private Organization staff. COERR and refugees in the livelihood program open shops for demonstrating and selling food and agriculture products, etc.

Later, on June 28, the ceremony was held in the Catholic Church compound at Ban Mae Surin Camp. Approximately 400 people attended this event in which government and NGOs staff organized learning activities. COERR and refugee groups under the Livelihood program displayed and demonstrated their activities, such as animal raising, making animal feeding from local materials, soil analysis, selling products for groups’ income generation. There were varieties of performances of refugee children and youth. Participants were interested in attending various activities organized in their camp.
